Non-judgmental nurturing perinatal and trauma counseling
Welcome! I am so glad you made it here. There are many roadblocks to receiving support and I am here to help make the journey less scary. Reaching out for help is no little feat. Many people fear (for very good reason) that they will receive poor treatment and/or judgement by a therapist. You deserve a safe therapeutic relationship where you can show up as yourself without concern of being judged by your therapist. If we are a good fit and I become your therapist, I will offer you a safe, nurturing connection where you can feel safe to express yourself, process your pain, challenge yourself and heal parts of yourself that are so ready to grow.
I specialize in trauma, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), grief/loss, anxiety, depression and perinatal mental health. Perinatal mental health encompasses the journey to becoming a parent, preparing for parenthood and the postpartum period. This period of time can be overwhelming, exciting, lonely, terrifying and even full of loss. You may not even know what you need and that is ok!
I focus on helping individuals meet their unique goals and this starts with creating a safe and nurturing therapeutic relationship. It is a privilege to hold space for you as you work through past and current pain, learn to be more present, decrease anxiety and depressive symptoms, and feel like yourself again. I use a trauma and attachment focused approach utilizing techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness.
